The Ottoman Empire has existed for six centuries: it originated like a semi -nomadic lead, by the end of the 16th century it occupied three continents and united many ethnic groups from Albanians and Armenians to Greeks and Slavs under its rule. A brilliant port, comparable in scope with the Roman Empire, was a truly unique state in the east. Having had a significant impact on the history of Europe from the Middle Ages to the New Age, the Ottoman Empire was completely like it.
