Outside of madness. The experience of six bardo. Trungpa C. Rinpoche
The Tibetan word "bardo" is usually associated with life after death. In the book “Outside of madness,” Trungpa invites you to look at Bardo completely differently - as at a peak experience at any given moment.
Our experience of the present is always painted by one of the six psychological states:
- the bliss inherent in the world of the gods;
- envy and desire to have fun characteristic of the world of jealous gods;
- the passion of the world of people; ignorance of the animal world;
- the possession and greed of the world of hungry spirits;
- hatred and aggression characteristic of the world of the inhabitants of Hell.
Relating these worlds with six Bardo experiences described in the Tibetan tradition, Trungpa reveals to us the “madness” of our psychological habits and habits and shows the opportunity to transform everyday experience into freedom. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche (1939–1987) - Tibetan Buddhist master, teacher, artist, translator and poet, one of the key conductors of the dharma in the West.
