Ovarian cancer: fundamental and clinical studies. Monograph. Edited: Kushlinsky N.
The monograph is devoted to the analysis of modern ideas about the pathogenetic mechanisms of the development of ovarian cancer - one of the most important problems of modern clinical medicine. Particular attention is paid to the morphological and molecular genetic characteristics of the epithelial ovarian cancer. The issues of the origin of tumors with low (from serous cystoadenoma and border serous ovarian tumors) and high (from serous pipe intra-epithelial carcine) degree of malignancy are considered, their differences from both clinical and molecular genetic positions are analyzed. Promising for the typical and target treatment of patients with ovarian tumors of a high degree of malignancy, the detection of the mutation in the TR53 genus and its subtypes is recognized: with the loss or increased function of the ONCUPPRESPENSTE protein P53, the wild type of TR53 with the function of MDM2 protein-ligator. > The monograph also discusses the hereditary forms of ovarian cancer due to mutations in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. The fundamental and clinical aspects of the study of matrix metalloproteinase and their tissue inhibitors, the system of insulin-like growth factors and their transport proteins, control points of immunity, panoramic proteomic analysis of blood plasma, microrm, circulating antibodies to glycans, as well as the possibilities of practical use of molecular-genetic markers in the study were analyzed in detail. Diagnosis, assessment of the metastatic potential and prognosis of ovarian cancer.
The section of the clinical course of ovarian cancer, modern capabilities and methods of surgical and drug treatment, including targeted drugs, highlights the prospects of radiation therapy.
For oncologists, gynecologists, biologists and other specialists.
