After the artist Klaire Bodri Chase attacked and left to die in her own house on the coast of Connecticut, she no longer knows who she could trust. Her main suspect is Griffin's own husband, who has good ties, a candidate for the chair of the Governor of the state.

Before the attack, Claire was preparing an exhibition, one of the exhibits of which openly accuses Griffin of a cruel crime committed twenty -five years ago.
