Patriarch Alexy I (Simansky)

The book is dedicated to Alexy I (Simansky; 1877-1970), the Holy Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus'. He lived a long and difficult life. He was the Primate of our Church for 25 years (1945-1970). He had a lot to revive the Russian Orthodox Church in the post -war years. The wise position of Patriarch Alexy I, his exceptionally high in the eyes of the whole society, authority played a crucial role in the preservation and subsequent revival of church life in Russia.
