Pedology of a teenager. Vygotsky L.
The classic work of Lev Semenovich Vygotsky “The pedology of the teenager” explores and studies the development of the child in the adolescence in the conditions of an integrated approach, is practically aimed at diagnosing mental development. Vygotsky’s book, along with the research of Jean Piaget, made a revolution in the psychology of development. Vygotsky himself noted that children's psychology for many decades did not know how to find a single significant attribute that would distinguish the perception of the child from the perception of an adult and pointed out the content of development processes in this area. Vygotsky postulated the main key provisions that formed the conceptual apparatus of development psychology, age psychology and pedagogical psychology. He emphasized that not only the skills and psychological functions of the child (attention, memory, thinking) are developing - the evolution of the behavior of the child, a change in the structure of the orientation of his behavior, is based on mental development. The book is basic in the training of psychologists, teachers.
