Peter Kropotkin. Speech of the rebel. Kropotkin P.A.
Pyotr Alekseevich Kropotkin (1842-1921)-the famous revolutionary-anarchist, historian and philosopher, geographer and geomorphologist. The prince, a representative of the ancient family, whose roots originate from the legendary Rurik, in his youth, he participated in scientific expeditions in Siberia, Transbaikalia, Manchuria, made a number of most important discoveries, became a member of the Russian Geographical Society and was awarded the gold medal of this respected scientific community. Bernard Show called him “one of the holy centuries”, and Oscar Wilde believed that the Russian prince “lives a perfect life”.
The book of the Speech of the rebel was written by Kropotkin in 1885, but first published in Russian only twenty years later. This work is the quintessence of Kropotkin’s thoughts about what the society and the state based on anarchist principles should be. And this is not just conclusions-this is a concept based on the deepest study of historical and sociological knowledge, and at the same time-a deep philosophical search for the path to the ideal society that the “prince-bunter” saw him.
