Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, already during his lifetime, became the most famous and executed Russian composer in the world. Early realizing his own vocation and gift, he firmly went to his goal - to music, in which he was absolutely frank and confessed. His life was filled with joys, tragedies, hobbies and disappointments, he was in a constant search for answers to the “fatal questions of being” about life and death, sin and forgiveness. Tchaikovsky’s fate is an endless struggle, confrontation, sometimes humility before the “restless fatoma” that pursued him, which in one form or another is tangible in almost all the writings of the composer.

The book is based on genuine materials and documents, and is also a continuation of many years of research of the life and creative heritage of the composer, which began immediately after his death and were carried out by several generations of scientists.
