The textbook consists of two parts. The first part of the “General Pharmacology” reflects the basic laws that determine the effect of both the drug on the body and the body on the medicine, the concepts of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics are disclosed. The general samples of the side and toxic action of pharmacotherapy are discussed. Modern principles of regulation of the turnover of drugs are also included.

The second part of “Private pharmacology” contains information about the main groups of drugs and drugs, most widely used in Russian medical practice, taking into account the adopted pharmacological classification. Most of the chapters set out brief information about the pathology and biochemistry necessary for understanding the mechanisms of the action of drugs.

In accordance with the modern requirements for educational and reference literature, the textbook contains international non -labeled names of drugs, sometimes their main synonyms ( Trading names) are given in brackets.

The publication is intended for students of pharmaceutical and medical faculties of medical universities.
