Dictionary “Philosophers of France” is the first original work of an encyclopedic nature in Russia, which gives an idea of the centuries -old history of French philosophy, the variety of its directions, the main problems and the proposed approaches to their solution. A feature of the dictionary prepared by the team of Russian scientists specializing in the history of philosophical thought in France is that it was reflected in the concept that played an important role in the history of ideas in France and other countries, many of which are little known or not known to the Russian reader.
