The textbook is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of SPO in the specialty 31.02.03 “Laboratory diagnostics” and is intended to study the general professional discipline “Physico-chemical methods of research and technique of laboratory work” (OP.06).

The publication reveals the basics of the activity of the medical laboratory, its device and organization of work, types of laboratory dishes and laboratory equipment, the methods and techniques of microscopy, solutions and methods of their preparation are considered, the basics of qualitative and quantitative analysis are given, physical and chemical methods of analysis, and types of laboratory uncertainty and their errors. For the first time in the system of secondary medical education, the main sections of the discipline are combined into a single publication, the main provisions used in the activities of the laboratories are described in detail.
