This book, dedicated to various issues of the sea physics, includes the results of the most important, mainly domestic research, as well as the most significant foreign ones.

The book discusses the theory of marine currents, tides and other long waves, questions of the terms, optics, acoustics and biological physics of the sea, the physical roots of climate and weather, etc. In the chapter “Kinematics, dynamics and calculation of wind waves” The results of domestic studies were given that allowed the physical foundations of the calculation and forecast of the elements of wind waves according to the given wind speed, its exposure time, the distance from the windward boundary of the storm, a given depth of the sea - with a given security of waves. The chapter “Magnetic and Electric Phenomena in the Sea” is devoted to phenomena that are of great interest both in theoretical and practical terms and require the production of more and more studies in the ocean and in the inland seas.

The monograph is designed mainly for researchers in the field of sea physics, in the neighboring areas of geophysics and physical oceanography, as well as on practitioners (employees of sea observatories, sea expeditions), for graduate students, senior students of the corresponding profile in universities and other higher educational institutions.
