The little Norwegian town of Christiansunn. Mariam Lind goes shopping with his eleven -year -old daughter. After a sudden quarrel, she leaves, thinking that the girl herself will get to the house... But she disappears without a trace. And now Mariam cannot clearly explain to the police, why on that day she, instead of just returning home, went by car many kilometers from the place where her daughter disappeared...
