This novel, at first rejected by all major publishers, fell in love with millions of readers around the world, was twice filmed and took a worthy place with a “little prince” A. Kiz. “Plague dogs” were also filmed - in 1982 by Martin Rosen, who had shortly before the screen and “inhabitants of the hills”; One of the main roles in the film, known in Russian as “desperate dogs”, was performed by Michael Hut. From the research center, which is located in the very heart of the picturesque lake edge, two friends are running - the foxsterier of bore and the black shaggy raf, a huge mongrel. Leaving behind the laboratory, where cruel experiments were put over them, boring and Rauf rush to freedom - but the world around him is fraught with new dangers and trials.
The translation was made by Maria Semenova, the author of the legendary Volkodava, who stood at the origins of the Slavic Fantasy genre. “If only one book remains after Adams, let it be“ plague dogs ”” (Observer).
