Alexander Pavlovich Chudakov (1938-2005) - a famous literary critic and writer, the largest researcher of the work of Anton Chekhov.
In the monographs “The Poetics of Chekhov” (1971) and “The world of Chekhov: the emergence and statement” (1986), he considers the writer's whole work as an integral system, describing the properties of its different levels - from subject to ideological, based the statistical material collected by him. The book also contains the biography of Alexander Pavlovich, which was written by the wife of the author Marietta Omarovna Chudakova (literary critic, writer) and his colleague Irina GITOVICH (Czechved, historian of literature, critic, textologist).
