Poetics. Rhetoric. Aristotle

The great ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle stands at the origins of modern science. The teacher of Alexander the Great, the creator of the first systematic treatises, a thorough researcher of the universe, Aristotle laid the foundation of such disciplines as logic, metaphysics, ethics, physics and others, including the theory of poetry and prose. The language of his philosophy is very simple and concern. In the treatise “Poetics”, the Aristotelian theory of poetry is expressed, in the treatise “Rhetoric” - the theory of artistic prose. Both of these famous treatises had a universal impact on the development of literature theory.
