“City Port” is an illustrated historical album telling the history of the city of St. Petersburg from an unusual point of view. Hydrotechnical processes come to the fore, without which the existence of St. Petersburg as a port city would be impossible: from different chapters you can learn about the creation of numerous alluvies, the installation of channels, the construction of embankments, the development of fairways and the construction of harbor. At the same time, the technical component is balanced by the richest illustrative material and the author's style of the narrative.
