This book is Upgrade's “Optimal Socium” (2019), where the texts written by one of the most radical of the living philosophers were first collected and they were designed for different audiences - from thoughtful schoolchildren to professors of philosophy and politicians. All texts are interconnected by common topics, forming a kind of hypertext that can be read in any sequence. This hypertext opens with the "manifesto of philosophy", which completely reviews the role of philosophical thinking in human life. The book has the main topic - our modernity and its connection with history, philosophy, politics, culture - from ancient Egypt and Sumerians to Vladimir Putin. The author builds paradoxical, but at the same time convincing relations between the seemingly unrelated ideas and events of world history. We live in revolutionary times, when shifts in world politics and technology are so great that the danger of finding out in new slavery is great.
