Posthumous notes of the Pickwick Club. Volume 2. Dickens Ch.
The novel “Posthumous Notes of the Pickwick Club”, written by Charles Dickens in 1836-1837, is one of the best works of this author and one of the classic examples of English humorous literature. Many famous English artists considered it an honor to become authors of illustrations for the next edition of the novel. The image of the good -natured fat man Mr. Pickwick repeatedly appeared in the cinema, on television and on stage. In the USSR, this character was embodied by such famous actors as Alexander Kalyagin and Nikolai Trofimov.
The novel is published in two volumes, translated by A. Krivtsova and E. Lanna, which is considered the most accurate and, despite K.'s criticism, Chukovsky, turned out to be the most in demand.
The second volume included chapters XXX-LVII.
