The proposed collection of exercises is a manual intended for practical training with students at the course "Private translation theory (translation from English into Russian)." The collection includes exercises on the main topics of the program for senior courses of translation faculties of universities and institutions of foreign languages. Thus, the collection covers some issues related to the grammatical problems of the translation, on the one hand, and with lexical problems, on the other.

In most cases, exercises are preceded by practical recommendations - which should facilitate the work of the student when translating the exercises themselves. The material for exercises and for practical recommendations was mainly excerpts from original texts: from English journalism and fiction. The exercises of the manual can be used both for primary consolidation and the repetition and development of translation skills at the further stages of repetition.

In addition to using this collection of exercises by students of special faculties, the materials of the manual can be recommended to a wide range of people studying the language , and can be useful for understanding a number of problems that arise when studying it.
