Prayer Power of the Orthodox Warrior

The serving of a warrior has always been honorable among all peoples, and the Orthodox - especially. If the Orthodox warrior died on the battlefield, he was considered a holy martyr. Many warriors are ranked to the face of saints, for example, the great martyrs George the Victorious, Dimitri Solunsky, Theodore Stratilat.

In Russian history, we know such great warriors as the holy noble princes Alexander Nevsky, Dimitri Donskoy, Dovmont-Timofei Pskovsky. Almost all Russian princes were forced to pick up weapons in order to protect their fatherland, their people, that is, their neighbors from enemies. It is in the ministry of the warrior that the commandment is most fulfilled: there is no longer that love as if anyone puts his soul for his friends (John 15.13).
