Preached by the Buddha of the Amitayus

“Big Sukkhavatyukha Sutra”, dedicated to the cult of the Buddha Amitabhi (Amitayus), is one of the most important canonical texts of the Far Eastern Mahayana and enjoys special veneration among the followers of the school of pure land - one of the most massive and influential directions of traditional Far Eastern Buddhism. The Russian translation proposed to the attention of the reader was made according to the Chinese version of Kan Santky (III century), which is historically basic for this school.

The publication is focused on religious scholars and specialists in the history of the ideology of the countries of the Far East, on orientalists of related specialties, as well as at all those interested in Buddhism and the Far Eastern culture.
