A poet of intensive small shape, mating distant ideas and images, Peter Chaigin is one of the most striking authors of his generation. Neologisms, variability of stresses, associative leaps and lowered logical links, a knitting of words and meanings - these are the distinctive features of his poetics, paradoxically fusing the traditions of Tyutchev and Khlebnikov together.

Pyotr Chaigin was born in 1948 in Oranienbaum (Lomonosov). Since 1955 he lived, studied and worked in Leningrad. The first publication is in the Samizdat anthology “Living Mirror” (1974), the official - in the legendary collection “Circle” (1985). Club-81 member.
