The manual was built on the basis and motives of the special course of the Moscow State Law University named after O. E. Kutafin (MGUA). The 1st part of the manual discusses the concept, signs, types of organized crime, and a brief retrospective analysis of the causes of its occurrence and characteristics of the current state are given. The types of organized criminal associations are presented and classified, the most characteristic crimes are considered for them, and appropriate statistical information is given and analyzed. The identity of the participants in organized crime is considered both in relation to all crime and to certain types of crimes. The 2nd part of the book presents material on the relationship of organized crime with other types of crime, such as terrorism and extremism, corruption, economic crime, illegal drug trafficking, as well as with relapse and professional crime. The legislation is given as of February 1, 2021. The manual is offered to students, undergraduates and graduate students of the legal profile of training as the necessary tool for passing exams and tests. Scientists can be useful in the process of further study of organized crime, the rest of the readers - to satisfy their own curiosity.
