It is easy to make a “Palekh” box from the workpiece. To do this, take the following steps:

  • take a densely diluted black gouache and apply it to the entire surface of the product.
  • After drying the paint, depict an ornament or drawing you planned.
  • Instead of or in addition to the painting, stick a brand or postcard from the Palekh miniature on the lid, having previously carefully cut the edges at the paper.
  • Cover the box 3-4 layers of varnish. To create a strong protective layer and a beautiful shine, it is advisable to apply oil for wood with oil varnish.
