The training manual discusses the basics of diagnosing the most common in the clinical practice of pathological syndromes and diseases, including requiring emergency care. The basics of diagnosis of internal diseases are also set out.

Along with traditional clinical methods (survey, examination, palpation, percussion and auscultation), the textbook describes the main laboratory and instrumental methods of examining the patient in detail. The basic rules for the registration of medical documentation (educational history of the disease and an outpatient card) are also considered.

The textbook is intended for students who master the educational programs of secondary vocational education in the specialty “Medicine”.
