The journalistic biography of the author of the novel “Provocateur” B. Sellenova is the path from the freelance correspondent of the Yunost radio station to the head of the children's and youth programs of the first channel TV. In his creative luggage, not only dozens of radio and television programs (“Good night, kids”, “Clever and clever”, “up to 16 and older”, “Marathon-15”, “While all houses” and many others), but also considerable experience in communicating with children and adolescents. In many ways, this communication gave the understanding that each of these generations (as well as the present) was confident that it was precisely to his share that the largest difficulties and problems fell on, not suspecting that these difficulties and problems always existed, in any field society, with any system. After all, time changes only “scenery”: costumes, masks, manners, addictions, but the essence of human life remains unshakable. At all times, a person sooner or later faces a moral choice, on which sometimes his entire life path depends.

This choice is especially difficult to during the “great fractures”, such as revolution, war, restructuring.

The heroes of the novel “Provocateur”-detectives of the tsarist secret police and terrorists-are conducting a merciless struggle with each other for the happy future of Russia on the eve of the first Russian revolution of 1905. But, besides bloody victories and no less bloody defeats, they, like all people, experience love, jealousy, friendship, betrayal, compromises with their own conscience - dozens of other motives that sometimes make them do inexplicable acts.
