Psalter educational in church-Slavic language with parallel translation into Russian P. Yungorov
The Church Slavonic language, created by the holy equal apostles Cyril and Methodius, is the language of our communication with God in prayers. And initially, Russian people prayed to God according to the church-Slavic psalter and generally learned literacy. But not all words, turns and texts are understandable to a modern person, and our modern language, in which we communicate with each other, was very remote from our church-Slavic primary orientalist. Therefore, P. Yungorov at the beginning of the 20th century undertook a new verified psalter translation into Russian - in order to bring the translation of the Greek psalter to the Slavic tradition as much as possible and make it understandable for readers, including those who first picked up the Psalter. We offer this translation to the attention of readers.
