“Pak from the hills” (1906) - a cycle of stories of the English writer Redyard Kipling about the forest spirit of Pak, the last of the remaining fairy hills that introduces two modern Kipling children, Dana, with the history of England and British mythology. He invites them to meet with the Norman Knight Richard, the Roman Centurion Paunesium, the sailor Hal, the hobden man and the Jewish usurer Cadmiel, in the fascinating stories of which historical events are intertwined with the stories about the Scandinavian gods and the fairies of the hills. Each story of the cycle is accompanied by one or two Kipling poems.
