When the recently widowed Melinda Monroe sees this ad, she without hesitation decides to move. The town of Virzhin-River, located in the mountains away from the noisy fuss, can become an ideal place to start a new life and resume the career of a nurse.

But her hopes are divided immediately upon arrival. “Free Housing” turns out to be an old dilapidated hut, the road to work is a real hell, and the future chief of Melind does not want to have anything in common with her.
