Ranunkulus (Buttercup) Yellow, rr 7/8, 7 pcs, autumn 2024
Lyutik (Latin Ranónculus, from Latin Rana - “Frog”) - a genus of annual or perennial herbaceous plants of the Fully Family (Ranunculaceae). The root system is predominantly short hubby, sometimes with numerous tube-shaped root shoots collected in a bundle. The leaves are seated, solid or dissected. The flowers are single or collected in complex inflorescences. Three to five cups, five petals, at their base have a honey fossa, naked or covered with a small scales.
Landing method: Ranunkulus rhizomes are small tubers that resemble goose legs in shape. It is better to purchase them in the fall, since it is likely that they are not dug up last fall or spring, but this season they can lie until spring. The tubers are planted in April, when the earth warms up to a depth of 5-8 cm, with a “end” down. The distance between the tubers is 12 cm. Before planting for a couple of hours, they can be soaked in cold water or placed in wet sawdust. To protect against rot, the tuber is recommended to be treated with fungal diseases.
