Ivan Antonovich Efremov is a famous Soviet writer, philosopher, a paleontologist, founder of modern Russian science fiction. His books skillfully combine scientific facts, fantastic hypotheses and exciting adventures.

The action of the novel “The Blade of the Razor” covers the most diverse places of our planet: Russia, Italy, India, Africa. The protagonist, young Soviet scientist Girin, together with the Italian artist Cesare Pirellley, tries to unravel the secret of an ancient crown from unknown ferrous metal, found at the bottom of the ocean and, possibly, which once belonged to Alexander Macedonian.
