The novice art critic Ann Stilwell comes to New York, hoping to spend the summer on an internship in the famous Museum of Arts of the Metro. But instead, it is sent to one of its branches, Klosters-a Gothic museum-museum, known for the art collections of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

So Ann falls into a narrow circle of mysterious manufacturers studying the art of fortune telling on Tarot cards. At first, she treats them skeptical. Until it discovers the mysterious deck of Italian Tarot Cards of the 15th century, according to legend containing the key to the prediction of fate. Between colleagues, the race begins for the one who is the first to reveal the secret, and then the corpse of one of them is found in the museum...
