Red karma. Grange J.-K.
Paris, 1968: Student riots, working strikes, the fifth republic risks falling away, a new future - behind the nearest turn. In the midst of universal exalted madness, the young romantic Erve discovers the corpse of a student familiar, monstrously mutilated in a pose that clearly hinting at yoga, and to whom Erve to turn to, if not an older brother, a war veteran in Algeria, a burned cynic and, in addition, the police Jean-Louis Mereshu? Paris is about to flare up like a match, on the streets of riots, the police are not up to unknown maniacs, and three are engaged in investigation: Jean-Louis is responsible for police work, Erve and Nicole, also a student and girlfriend of the murdered person-for the cultural context, whom Jean-Louis. He does not understand and does not want to understand.
In his novel “Red Karma”, a recognized master, the owner of numerous prestigious awards, the fearless researcher of evil Jean-Cristopher Grange again extends the framework of the genre of the historical detective thriller. In this story there will be ominous sects, human cruelty, generic secrets and fragile hope. Grange leads his characters with looping paths throughout Paris, then to India - to Calcutta and Varanasi, where they will open a terrible, proud truth, and, finally, in the Vatican, where a solution will be found and, possibly, hope will be revived. These three could become the heroes of Paris of 1968-but no, they became the heroes of a completely different story, much more terrible and bloodiest.
