The second book of Red Sphinx compiled the creative biographies of writers who actively worked in the USSR. The names of many are now popular in Russia. The civil war, the restoration of the destroyed national economy, the time of terror, which broke, and even destroyed more than one writer, the heroic years of the Patriotic War, finally, the screening of the state system, trimmed with ideological malfunctions, all this was bright, sometimes tragically reflected in the works of Sergei Belyaev, Alexandra Chayanova, Yana Larry, Alexander Kazantsev, Yuri Dolgushin, Ivan Efremov and he replaced George Gurevich, Sergey Snegov, Vladimir Savchenko, the brothers A. and B. Strugatsky, Vladislav Krapivin, Kira Bulychev and many, many others. Friendship and personal communication with many of them allowed Gennady Prashkevich to create a living picture of an incredible era that promised so much.
