This book presents various aspects of the most important and fundamental eternal problem for a person - which almost every of us are conceived - the goals and meaning of earthly life. Moreover, this problem is considered both from a common point of view and from the point of view of Christian anthropology.
The approach to the concepts of “goal” and “meaning” of life is analyzed in detail. General (identical) and various aspects of the goals of life, characteristic of different worldviews, are revealed. The line is justified, beyond which fundamental discrepancies begin in understanding these aspects. The features and mental basis of the choice of the purpose of life are shown and its logical and mystical aspects are revealed. It is described about possible sources of information about the afterlife, faith in which is a decisive criterion when choosing the goal of earthly life: phenomena of souls of the dead; the narratives of the resurrected from the dead and survived the clinical death; show of the kingdom of heaven or hell in earthly life; God -bearing - as a direct mystical experience. Much attention is paid to the Christian point of view on the purpose of life. The necessary explanations to the text and determination of the terms used are given.
The book is addressed to a wide range of readers. It also is of interest to specialists in the field of theology, philosophy, psychology, and pedagogy.
