Alexy (Fedor Alekseevich Solovyov; 1846-1928), the elder, the priest of the Smolensk Zosima Desert, is close to the heart of every Orthodox Christian, especially he was dear to those who knew him during his lifetime, his students and followers, who chose the path for themselves asceticism and now glorified in the face of saints. The narrative of the multi -school fate of the saint of God, who has been striking in Russia at the turn of the eras, containing a biography, the elder’s instructions, the memories of the spiritual children, will expand the circle of admirers of the blessed ascetic and, undoubtedly, will be useful in their spiritual fortification.

The book is released by the third recycled publication, with clarifications and additional information about the old man, his students and relatives, entered into the text of O. S. Chetverukhina - the granddaughter of the authors of the book and the great -granddaughter of the elder Alexy, M. G. Oskolkova. The text is illustrated by photographs from their family archives.
