There was, perhaps, in pre -revolutionary Russia a person who would not hear about St. Sergius of Radonezh. His fame was such that no one had to explain the meaning of this saint for our country. Millions of our compatriots turned to the lover of God, pouring their sorrows and joys in front of Him, asking him in prayers to resolve countless spiritual and everyday needs.

The Monk heard everyone and answered prayers as a loving and wise mother answers the requests of his inexperienced and fondable children.
