The book is devoted to several rheumatic diseases that occur almost exclusively in the elderly: rheumatic polymialgia and gigantic arteritis, Forestial disease, diseases of the deposition of calcium crystals and bone disease of Paglet. Two new chapters about rheumatoid arthritis and spondylitis, starting in the elderly, were added to the third edition. Attention to these diseases is attracted because the information about them is not fully stated in domestic literature and their recognition is often much delayed. The book was created on the basis of the personal experience of the author and analysis of literature data. It is intended for rheumatologists, therapists, gerontologists.
