At the beginning, children do not always understand that the riddle is a question, and remember the answer prompted by adults. And then from time to time they broadcast this answer mechanically. Therefore, we recommend not folk riddles (often rather complicated) for starters, but simple modern ones, with rhymed answers at the end. This book for children who have passed the first stage and are already ready for the reflection process.

For example, in the riddle “gray in summer, and in the winter the white” can recall a white bear, not considering that it is white in winter and in summer.

In this book, four response options are offered to a choice. One is the traditional correct one, the second (and sometimes the third) is the right one, suitable for all criteria. The fourth is wrong. The child will be forced to think in order to figure it out, and adults, of course, should help him in this.

Here, for example, the riddle "does not spin, does not poke, but dresses people." How do we reason? One of the pictures depicts knitting knitting needles. They knit, not weave. Of course, a sweater, mittens, and a scarf can tie-that is, knitting needles still dress people. But we are talking about one, but two knitting needles. So the answer, it seems, is not a knitting needle. A sheep is weeped from wool, from which dresses, coats and trousers are sewn, make knitting yarn. The sheep, one might say, dresses everyone. But doesn’t the tailor sew clothes and does not dress people? Therefore, three answers are legitimate for this riddle, although the classic is a sheep.
