In the novel of the Honored Military Pilot, Marshal of Aviation, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolai Mikhailovich Skomorokhov (1920-1994), recreating the events of the Great Patriotic War, three storylines are closely interwoven. The resident Albert, introduced into the den of the enemy and performing the task of Soviet military intelligence with his assistants, are connected with a single intention; pilots of the Batai Military Aviation School of pilots fighting the Nazis in the fallen sky; Students of the University of Rostov are a fighting girlfriend of pilots in a difficult fight against the enemy. In air battles and labyrinths of the secret front, in extreme situations the best human qualities of the heroes of the novel are manifested: courage, perseverance, military friendship, high morality, selfless love for the homeland.
