For a long time, researchers were completely undeservedly considered the first Roman king to be a fictional hero. Thanks to the new data obtained by Italian scientists as a result of archaeological excavations in the center of Rome at the turn of the XX -XXI centuries, it became clear that the evidence of ancient authors about the founder of the eternal city contained reliable information and therefore there is no longer doubt that Romulus is a historical person.
