Run. Bulgakov M.
The play “Running” in the work of M. A. Bulgakov (1891-1940) occupies a special place-this is a work of extraordinary power, perhaps the most significant and interesting of the whole dramatic heritage of the writer. E. S. Bulgakova recalled: "He loved this play as a mother loves a child." Meanwhile, during the life of the author, “Run” was never completely published, and the production that was prepared in the Moscow Art Theater was prohibited. The author was accused of distorting the class essence of the White Guard movement and the whole meaning of the civil war. In this essay, Bulgakov said goodbye to old Russia, comprehending the terrible events that had occurred to it, and the best pages of the play until today are amazing with pain, depth and tragic pathos. A feature film with the same name, shot by the famous directors A. Alov and V. Naumov, of course, belongs to the heights of domestic cinematography. This edition presents an early edition of the play of 1926-1928.
