“Russia and the Ecumenical Church” (French. La Russian et i'eglise universelie) is the fundamental creation of the great Russian philosopher Vladimir Sergeyevich Solovyov (1853-1900), the main idea of which is the foundations and ways of reuniting churches around the spiritual authority of the pope Roman and the formation of a single Christian church. The main elements of Sophiaology Solovyov are also formulated in the work.
The work was written in French and was first published in Paris by Albert Savine in 1889. The translation into Russian was completed by G. A. Rachinsky (1859-1939) and published by the publishing house "Way" in 1911
