Russia: Climbing. From Princess Olga to Peter the Great. Grebenyuk A.V.

The millennial Russian civilization turned out to be surprisingly resistant to international and domestic political shocks. The reason is that the basis of Russian statehood was the Orthodox paradigm of statehood with its respect for other religious beliefs and customs, the skill of archpastors to conduct dialogue with representatives of other faiths in the name of a common goal. She stood before the onslaught of the “Ryzar’s dogs”, thanks to Alexander Nevsky, survived the crafty rule of Boris Godunov, who gave rise to a great turmoil, reflected the aggression of Poland and Sweden in order to rise like a Phoenix from the ash, after the reign of the Romanovs, and spiritually strengthened thanks to the patriarchs of Filaret and Nikon. The author considers the history of the transformation of Rus' from the tiny principality of St. Olga to the Russian Empire of Peter the Great from the perspective of a systemic cyvilization methodology.
