Russian comedy. Another auditor. Knyazev V.V.
In the beginning there was... laughter. No, the author of this book does not dare to rephrase the gospel. Nevertheless, he strongly argues that laughter takes place at the beginning, at the heart of the national character of Russians. The tendency and ability to “turn everything to the booth” is an amazing, phenomenal feature of the Russian lifestyle, style of behavior, manner of thinking and feeling. The secret of this phenomenon is simple: we are ruthless, total self -irony, we take up the most insidious enemy of all time. Which is not somewhere in the outside world, but inside each of us.
We are fighting against our human pride, it is vanity, complacency, falsity, emptiness. We are fighting, being, alas, not always understood and approved. It may really be the special world mission and a special disinterested feat of the “mysterious” Russian soul. This is the version that is, as it were, the energy center of the novel “Russian Comedy”. Of course, the author seeks to express it not journalistic, but in artistic images, in the original plot, in a ridiculous, that is, mischievous, funny, paradoxical and uniquely witty performance.
