Russian education system today: a decisive development factor or a way to the abyss?

For the first time in Russian literature, a view of education as a political technology was proposed. This approach made it possible to rethink the experience of Soviet and post -Soviet education, to develop an attitude to education as a key sphere of organizing a breakthrough in Russia into the future. The author shows the enormous potential of Russian education and the capabilities of Russian scientific and educational schools that can provide key positions in promoting world training development. The current state of affairs in Russian education looks threatening. In Russia, almost 30 years, education reforms by the patterns and the standards of Western approaches are underway. As a result, Russian education as a social technology for the formation of a fair and viable society ceases to exist. Education can finally abandon the functions of educating and developing the cognitive interests of the entire younger generation. The understanding of the mechanisms of development of national educational systems proposed in the book allows the author to believe that Russian education has not yet ended and it may have a great future. It depends on our self -determination.
