Russian emperors. Krutogorov Yu.
The publication that you hold in your hands is nine stories that have a story about the two -century period of our history, when the monarchs ruled Russia: kings and emperors. The book is opened by the story of Peter I, called the Great compatriots, whose reforms deduced a huge country out of centuries -old backwardness. A description of the tragic fate of the last Russian emperor, Nicholas II, shot with the Bolsheviks family, completes the collection. In 2000, the Russian Orthodox Church ranked the Martyr king and his family to the face of saints. Not all political and economic decisions of our emperors are seen unconditionally progressive, but with a deep study of historical documents, the memoirs of contemporaries and eyewitnesses of events, it becomes clearer: many of the representatives of the royal dynasty sincerely loved Russia, respected their people and were confident in the need for changes aimed at the benefit of Russian Powers.
