The book of L.V. Lannik recreates the canvas of events taking place on the Russian front of the First World War. The author not only talks in detail about the course of hostilities in 1914-1917, but also analyzes the events preceding the war and became its logical consequence. A feature of the book is a view of the Russian front and the war as a whole through the prism of all its main actors: three emperors, three armies, three monarchies and their subjects, for whom the Great War ultimately turned into a civilian one.
