The monograph for the first time examines the interdisciplinary nature of technical solutions in samovars, who were empirically found by masters over the past 280 years. None of the sciences made this product the subject of research. Everything that has accumulated in the information space of our country over the past half a century is an information array of a poorly structured nature, focused mainly on the descriptive reflection of heterogeneous external information and a relatively superficial study of the artifacts of past centuries with their production technologies, which are clearly outdated to today.

The book made an attempt to identify that is still an unconscious position that the Russian wood -defended samovar invented in the XVIII century, despite its simple design, is a technical device that affects all six information channels of a person from direct tactile contact to to distance effects on the structures of the brain. That is why it is so stable in time. The reasons for the unsuccessful attempts to modernize it with the transition from wood coal to other types of fuel were noted and analyzed. An attempt has been made to show the potential to improve it without losing consumer properties, which is quite possible with a proper serious engineering approach in the future.

For the first time, the classification table of samovars according to style and architectural styles is introduced, significantly expanding the idea of ​​the possibility of creating numerous new forms. Also for the first time, full -scale measurements were made of 100 classic samovars, released until 1917, based on the statistical processing of which conclusions are drawn. The book has indisputable novelty in terms of analysis and complex lighting of various aspects related to technical and historical logic of the emergence, gradual distribution and consolidation of a samovar in the Russian culture as a national treasure.
